PRAGATI POWER CORPORATION LIMITED

Delhi Govt's Largest Single-Site Rooftop Solar Project

To address the growing energy needs of the capital city, the Delhi Government established Pragati Power Station, Bawana (PPCL - III), a 1500 MW gas turbine facility. We are honored to have delivered Delhi's largest and most complex distributed rooftop solar power project at this site, with a total capacity of 1.36 MW.

This turnkey project spans 14 different locations within the same premise, including a challenging installation at a height of 160 feet, where over 700 KW of solar capacity was installed. The project was inaugurated by Delhi's Chief Minister, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal.

India’s First Solar-Powered Running Coaches

We showcased our engineering prowess by integrating solar panels on Janshatabdi coaches' roofs for Southern Railways.

Completed in a record 72 hours per coach, this complex project involved designing Corten Steel structures to ensure aerodynamic stability, incorporating water drainage systems, and using special rubber for cushioning to prevent breakage. This initiative reduces CO2 emissions by 300 tonnes and saves 95,000 liters of diesel per rake annually.

Banswara Syntex Ltd, a leading vertically integrated textile company, specializes in yarn, fabric, and ready-made garments. Listed on both the NSE and BSE, the company serves renowned fast fashion brands such as Uniqlo, Calvin Klein, Marks and Spencer, and Next.

With its own thermal power plant generating over 30 MW of captive power, Banswara Syntex is now transitioning to solar energy. We are honored to partner with Banswara Syntex to meet their electricity needs with a comprehensive solar solution.

In the first phase, we have been awarded a turnkey Solar Power Project EPC of 4.5 MW at their facility in Banswara.
